Linux Support Engineers

Job Description

We are looking for Linux support engineers to provide enterprise-level expertise and support to our infrastructure. Ultimately, you will be a person of our developer's trust. We will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems and scalability.


  • Working with our development team on understanding and optimizing the Linux OS for their needs. Solving problems with their deployments on top of the latest Linux OS.
  • OS troubleshooting skills across different application types. Using performance tools to improve performance and scale of different environments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Track issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal and external teams.
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged.
  • Prioritize and manage several issues at one time.
  • Document technical knowledge.
  • Undergo ongoing training.


  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix/Esxi Administration
  • Server and Storage Hardware Troubleshooting experience
  • Server Booting: POST, BIOS, PXE, Kickstart, GRUB/LILO, RAID
  • Basic Experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, and L2/L3 technologies
  • Network Equipment Installation and Configuration
  • Network Connectivity: UTP and Optical Fiber Cabling, Switches, Routers
  • Remote Access: Console routers, IPMI, BMC, ILO, Terminal Servers, Idrac
  • Redundancy: Power feeds, Server and Storage Hardware, RAID
  • Data Center Operations: Inventory
