Full-Stack JavaScript Developers (Node.js, React, Vue.js)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack JavaScript Developer to design, develop and maintain secure, scalable web applications using Node.js, React, Vue.js and MySQL.

You will take ownership of the complete software development lifecycle - from requirements gathering and solution design to coding, testing, deployment, troubleshooting and documentation.

This role is ideal for a developer who can work independently, solve complex technical problems and deliver reliable, production-ready applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full application development lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Design, build and maintain high-performance web applications using Node.js.
  • Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React, Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Build and integrate secure REST APIs and third-party services.
  • Design and optimise MySQL databases for performance, scalability, availability and data integrity.
  • Improve, modernise and extend existing applications and codebases.
  • Write clean, reusable, testable and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot application, database, server and network-related issues.
  • Apply secure coding practices and contribute to application security and performance improvements.
  • Support application deployments, production monitoring and incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Manage multiple development projects while maintaining delivery quality and timelines.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least two years of professional Node.js development experience.
  • Strong experience in full-stack web application development.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript and REST API development.
  • Practical experience with React and/or Vue.js.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, query optimisation, indexing and database performance.
  • Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, Ajax and jQuery.
  • Experience building scalable, distributed and high-availability applications.
  • Understanding of web application security, authentication, authorisation and secure coding practices.
  • Familiarity with Linux servers, scripting, application deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of source control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Docker, cloud platforms or containerised application deployment.
  • Experience with application monitoring, logging and performance optimisation.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
  • Experience maintaining or modernising legacy web applications.
